What dentists miss in Georgia

Can a dentist licensed elsewhere get a Georgia license by credentials?

Georgia grants a provisional license by credentials only to dentists from states with a similar credentials law; applicants from states without one are ineligible. It requires five full years of clinical practice and an original exam that tested human subjects in periodontics and Class II and III restorations. The fee is $3,025.

  • Licensure by credentials available
  • Practice required: 5 years immediately before applying, at least 1,000 hours a year of hands-on clinical practice (training programs do not count)
